What is Retrofit?

In order to reduce the carbon footprint of buildings, the Government is funding a scheme to enable homeowners, Local Government and landlords bring the UK housing stock up to modern standards of energy efficiency.

£1.8 Billion has been awarded through Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund, Home Upgrade Grant and Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme to upgrade social homes and public buildings such as hospitals, schools, museums and universities.

We are registered with Stroma.

Energy Company Obligation (ECO) – Under this scheme, funding is available to install energy saving measures in private homes. It is aimed at improving low energy efficient homes and tackling fuel poverty. To Qualify you must be in receipt of certain benefits such as Pension Credit, Universal Credit, Child/Work Tax Credit or the household has a combined income of less than £31,000.

EPC rating must be D, E, F or G - Knight Green Deal can carry out the assessment

Insulation :- Loft Insulation
Cavity Wall Insulation

Trustmark - Trustmark has been set up to ensure the quality of the services provided by those looking to work within the Retrofit / ECO schemes. It means that they have to work to Government endorsed quality standards.

Traders such as energy assessors, electricians, gas engineers and builders have to maintain high standards in order to be registered with Trustmark. Knight Green Deal are accredited with Trustmark and Elmhurst Energy.
